That experience crystallized what he already knew: AI isn't coming for business operations — it's already here, and most companies are dangerously behind.
The gap he saw wasn't technology. It was leadership. Companies need someone who understands both the transformative power of AI and the security implications of deploying it. Someone who's built real systems, not just consulted about them. That's what VAIO Group delivers.
The Origin Story
VAIO Group started as a cybersecurity consulting practice. We helped mid-market companies understand their external attack surface, build security programs, and sleep better at night knowing their defenses actually worked.
Then we noticed something. Every company we worked with was facing the same second crisis: AI was transforming their industry, and they had no idea what to do about it. Employees were using ChatGPT to process client data. Shadow AI was proliferating faster than shadow IT ever did. And nobody — not the CTO, not the CISO, definitely not the CEO — had a coherent strategy.
